The Bumi Digital API uses standard HTTP status codes to signal success and failure. This page lists the codes you are most likely to encounter and how to respond to them.
Common Status Codes
401UnauthorizedInvalid API key or not provided in the Authorization header.400Bad RequestInvalid or missing parameters in the request body.500Server ErrorInternal server error occurred while processing the request.
Best Practices
Always inspect the HTTP status code and the JSON error field before treating a response as successful.
On 401 — verify the Authorization header format and confirm the API key has not been revoked or rotated.
On 400 — check the model's parameter schema on the /api/v1/models endpoint and ensure required fields are provided.
On 500 — retry with exponential backoff. If the failure persists, contact support with the generation_id.
Log the full error response including status code and any error messages for observability.
